Much sought after “Everyone Has Got To Go”, a militant 1976 roots stepper by Jamaican/Canadian singer Prince Robinson, aka R. Man Prince.

Born in Rockfort, East Kingston, Robinson auditioned, like many other hopefuls at Studio One, in his early teens, but it was not his time and he would not record in Kingston until a decade later.

After migrating to New York and then Canada, Robinson returned to Kingston in 1976 to record two incredible roots anthems at Joe Gibbs studio “Everyone Has Got to Go” and the impossibly rare “Funny Dream”. He was joined by The Soul Foundation, a vocal trio who laid the track's beautiful harmonies plus some of Jamaica’s greatest session musicians, including Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, who were not yet superstars.

The track was mixed at Channel One and the explosive “Super Bionic Version!” Dub by Ernest Hookim and Barnabas enters truly apocalyptic territory.

Luckily for all of us, inside a now battered briefcase that he took to Jamaica in 1976, Prince has kept his mastertapes and promo photos in pristine condition, knowing that his music had value and biding his time.

Having James Shinra back on AF is always a cause for celebration, and doubly so this time because we present 'Meteorites', his second album following the highly acclaimed Vital Heat (2018). During 2023-24, James uploaded a series of digital releases called 'Meteorites', a set of dreamy and introspective tracks where the artist showed his evolution and maturity, refining the emotive sound that's his trademark and has garnered so much praise in recent years. Nina Nastasia's rare gift of a voice is an intimate, winged presence that is able to either freeze or melt your heart; that can powerfully soar and twist, or brush ultra-gently against you, suddenly summoning goose bumps. Released in 2003 by Touch and Go Records (and out of print for almost two decades), Run to Ruin is the third album by Nina Nastasia. It was recorded by Steve Albini at Black Box studio in Noyant-la-Gravoyère, France and at Looking Glass studio in New York. Combined with the prodigious talents of her backing band and the sparse but lush arrangements of the instruments, the songs on Run to Ruin evoke haunting scenes of heartache, passion and a slightly seedy world. Nina's voice is at once delicate and intense, neither sweet nor harsh, i conveys an array of emotion moving between joy and sadness with just a moment's pause.

Selbst subtile Brüche in lyrischen oder musikalischen Mustern können eine grundlegende Veränderung in der Welt des Songs auslösen. Auf der gesamten Platte begründen strenger Formalismus und Minimalismus eine Erzählung. ,The Long Goodbye" stellt sich einen quälenden Dialog zwischen Bekannten vor, die sich nicht höflich voneinander lösen können: ,It's my pleasure!", stöhnt Lippard, die sich selbst antwortet: "Pleasure is all mine! / See you soon! / See you next time! / See you then!". Obwohl die Zeilen immer wieder dieselben wenigen Abschiedsworte wiederholen, akkumuliert sich eine geheimnisvolle Kausalität in den winzigen Variationen, die einen erzählerischen Bogen kreieren, weniger für die Figuren des Liedes, sondern für den Zuhörer, der sich mit Verzweiflung, nihilistischem Humor oder tiefer Dankbarkeit über die Fähigkeit der Kunst konfrontiert sieht. Die 1992 in London von Sänger und Songschreiber David Christian gegründete Band Comet Gain war ursprünglich inspiriert von den frühen Creation Records, Television Personalities und der Mod-Kultur. Harts Stil verbindet seine technisch versierten Fähigkeiten mit emotionalen Vibes und Dancefloor-Treibstoff und schafft so einen Sound, der sowohl für den Club als auch für das Eintauchen in die eigenen vier Wände geeignet ist. Das 12-Track-Album ist emotional ein Garagenalbum, euphorisch und therapeutisch. Es ist eine Reise durch cineastische Melancholie, schwebende Synthies und Momente der Zerbrechlichkeit, gespickt mit Sprachsamples. Tech-Wizard Lawrence Hart, der allein schon durch seinen Großvater, den berühmten Computerpionier Geoff Tootill, eine wissenschaftliche DNA hat, wurde schon als Kind zum klassischen Musiker ausgebildet. Bereits mit 15 Jahren sprach er an einigen der renommiertesten Musikschulen New Yorks vor und studierte dann Jazztrompete am SUNY Purchase College bei berühmten VertreterInnen des Fachs. Er spielte an der Seite von Größen wie Bob Mover (einem ehemaligen Kollegen von Charlie Mingus und Chet Baker) auf den Bühnen der Jazzclubs New Yorks. Bald entdeckte Hart die elektronische Musik und das Clubbing für sich.Seine Fähigkeiten als Produzent entwickelte er während der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Double Six/Domino-Künstler George FitzGerald, mit dem ihn eine langjährige musikalische Beziehung verbindet. Bis heute hat Hart Solo-Singles, EPs und Remixe auf Hotflush, Attack Decay Sweet Release, LG105 und seinem eigenen Label SSEM veröffentlicht.

It is always our pleasure to have new talents in the house, and we've been following Notzing's development since long ago. His approach to techno is absolutely personal and complex, hard and intrincated, mental and physical.

Protae is the first missile in this box full of weapons, a super busy techno exercise with compacted drums, drilling synth lines and random metallic hits breaking the monotony. The effect on the floor is devastating and has been tested extensively in dancefloors worldwide by label owner Oscar Mulero in the past months. 7 minutes of pure dancefloor mayhem.

Fagus continues with the sickness, with hysterical synth washe repeating an hypnotic chant, adding layers of sound as the groove goes by. Repetition is here the key to proper trance, not exactly with pleasant tones but by aggression.

Ekaterin is gummy and elastic with formant synth sounds chewing frequencies and changing constantly in shape. Another mental mantra with a physical drive.

Molniya slows down the pace and dives into profound sound scapes full of unnatural underwater sounds and washes providing a feeling of scuba diving.

To end this sonic odyssey, Emision goes completely beatless, growing from the profound sub bass frequencies to crispy and crunchy surface noises, creating the soundtrack of floating in outer space with no gravity. Please beware of the super intense bass tones when playing on a big sound system.
The perfect combination of experimentation and punchiness, keep an eye on this guy, is gonna make some proper noise in the coming years.

"Hi there, I'm really happy to present my new EP "Kernel Panic" released on one of my favorite labels "Yuku". I've been discovering a lot of great music and new artists thanks to Yuku and I'm really happy to join the family.

My first release ever was a footwork release 8 years ago, and I wanted to experiment with this 160 bpm vibe again and merge it with a lot of different personal influences. I've been experimenting a lot with crazy polyrhythm sequencers and Euclidean algorithms for this EP. It was a lot of fun but my laptop didn't like it at all. During the whole process, I experimented a huge amount and experienced loads of bugs and laptop freezes, so I decided to dedicate this EP to "Kernel Panics".

It might be the most hybrid EP I've done. You can hear breaks, electro, footwork, grime, percussive, and dub ingredient within. I also had the pleasure to collaborate with the very talented Kenyan rapper, Nah Eeto, for Piga Makofi, and I can't wait to play this one live with her.

I asked my friend Vica Pacheco to create the artwork and she built this psychedelic 3d world based on "the hypnotic and dynamic energy" of the EP.

As part of Lossless Music's 10 year celebrations Soul Intent enlisted the skills of some of the scenes brightest stars and tasked them with remixing their favourite track from his debut long player 'Delusions Of Grandeur' released back in 2017.
